A practical preparation checklist for your first personal tax conversation with KJM Accounting in English or Arabic.
Start with the year and the situation
Make a short note of the tax year you need help with and any important changes: a new job, a move, family changes, self-employment or arriving in Canada. This helps us identify the right questions at the first conversation.
Gather the documents you already have
Tax slips and other records of income.
Receipts and documents supporting possible credits or deductions.
Your previous return or notice of assessment, if available, and relevant CRA letters.
Make a missing-information list
Keep unanswered questions in one place. If a slip or receipt is missing, note what it is and who issued it. Ask what is needed before replacing missing figures with guesses.
Before sending anything
Use the website form to describe your needs only. We will discuss the documents and how to exchange them after establishing the scope. Never send your CRA password through the form.
